TMZ: Iggy Azalea's Attorneys Threaten Vivid Over Sex Tape

LOS ANGELES — Iggy Azalea’s lawyers have threatened to sue if Vivid Entertainment releases a sex tape allegedly involving her and rapper and ex-boyfriend Hefe Wine.

Her attorneys told TMZ that they’ve sent a letter to the adult entertainment company in which they say “the name ‘Iggy’ is gold ... protected by U.S. Trademark.”

Vivid, according to TMZ, is unimpressed with the letter and restated its desire to market the tape, which purportedly includes Azalea and Wine.

Without stating one way or the other, her lawyers have said that Azalea may be the woman in the tape, but she may have been underage at the time it was recorded, and may have been shot without her knowledge and consent.

But Wine said that Azalea was over 18 and aware of the camera when the video was shot. He denies sending the footage to Vivid, explaining to TMZ that his computer was recently stolen.

Last week, Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said that there would be “a huge demand for her sex tape.”

“Iggy has proved that she’s an amazing talent. If there is any tape out there that can rival that of Kim Kardashian, this one is it,” he said. He said he had been shown a “teaser” of images of a woman who appears to be Azalea.

Australian-born Azalea gained recognition early on in her career for her controversial songs “Pu$$y” and “Two Times.” Last year she toured with Beyoncé and her single, “Fancy,” reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs charts earlier this year.
